Ratos's wholly owned subsidiary Haendig is selling its warehouse and office properties in Halmstad, Mölndal and Örkelljunga releasing SEK 75m.
Haendig's CEO Thomas Holmgren comments: "Haendig's business concept is based on serving the building materials trade with strong brands for both professional and DIY customers. The capital that was previously tied up in our properties can now be invested in this core business."
The sale of the warehouse and office properties will provide a capital gain before tax of SEK 14m. In conjunction with the sale, Haendig will sign a rental agreement with the purchaser, Skandrenting, for eight years. The sale and the new rental agreement will only have a marginal impact on the Group's operating profit after tax.
Haendig is an active owner of small and medium-sized wholesalers with a focus on the DIY and professional market in the Nordic region. The Group includes subsidiaries HDF-Bolagen, Hafa, Westerbergs Badrum, Duri, Lundbergs Produkter, HDF Gyttorp Jakt, Sven Svenssons and Penope. Haendig's sales in 2005 amounted to approximately SEK 1,290m with a pre-tax profit of SEK 32m.
